Weekly Robotics with Arduino (ShieldBot)

Join our hands-on weekly class introducing the fundamentals of robotics through assembling, programming, and debugging real robotic systems. Work with servo motors, cameras, breadboards, and microcontrollers while tackling real-world challenges at a steady weekly pace.

To earn a certificate, students must complete the projects according to the given specifications, which will be reviewed and approved by instructors before submission. Additionally, students must pass the final exam with a score of 70% or better to complete the course and earn their certification successfully. The cost for the certification is an additional $200.

• Identifying and unpacking robotics components
• Assembling mobility, power, and control subsystems
• Motor testing and open-loop navigation programming
• Hardware diagnostics, debugging, and refinement with Arduino
• Integrating a PixyCam for vision-based navigation
• Configuring color, object, and shape detection
• Using blob data to improve movement precision
• Resolving hardware conflicts
