LEGO SPIKE Coding: Certification Course

Class Details:

• Small Class Size: Each class is limited to eight students.
• Start Date: The first student sets the day and time.
• Duration: 3–6 months
• Certification Cost: $200
• Project-Based Class: This is a project-based class where students must complete and upload approved projects to qualify for certification.
• Group Discounts: Receive a 10% discount for groups of 2–3 students, and a 15% discount for groups of 4 or more.

Dive into the exciting world of robotics and programming in our LEGO SPIKE Coding Class, where students learn to design, build, and code LEGO SPIKE Prime robots while working toward certification through the renowned Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy (CRMA).

This course introduces students to foundational concepts in robotics, computational thinking, and engineering, with a focus on:

• Programming Skills: Learn block-based coding (and transition to Python, if ready) to control motors, sensors, and robot behaviors.
• Engineering Design: Build and modify robots to complete specific tasks and challenges, fostering creativity and innovation.
• Problem-Solving and Debugging: Tackle real-world robotics challenges using structured problem-solving strategies.
• Data-Driven Learning: Use sensor data to make decisions and automate robot functions.
• Team Collaboration: Work in small groups to brainstorm, prototype, and refine solutions.

Students will follow CRMA’s structured curriculum, mastering skills aligned with national STEM standards. By the end of the class, they’ll be prepared to earn an official Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy certification, showcasing their skills in coding, robotics, and engineering.
