Designed for students passionate about robotics, teamwork, and innovation, this hands-on class introduces the fundamentals of the VEX IQ Competition. Whether you’re new to robotics or looking to strengthen your skills, this course will prepare you to design, build, and compete like a pro!
VEX IQ is a global robotics competition that challenges students to design and build robots capable of competing in game-based engineering challenges. Students apply classroom STEM concepts in real-world scenarios while developing lifelong skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication.
Each year, VEX Robotics hosts the world’s largest robotics competition, with events held at regional, state, and national levels, culminating in the VEX Robotics World Championship each April. Through collaboration and friendly competition, students experience the thrill of robotics while building valuable skills for the future.
In this course, students will explore the basics of the VEX IQ Competition in-house at Blue Ridge Boost, preparing for challenges inspired by official VEX IQ competitions!
Perfect for students grades 4th-5h who are new to VEX IQ or want to improve their robotics skills. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and enthusiasm!
Advanced or experienced builders? Check out our competition team! We are looking for motivated students to join our official VEX IQ team and compete in this year’s exciting tournaments.
