Welcome to Camp Boomtown Build, where kids become young architects, engineers, and problem-solvers! Inspired by the FIRST LEGO League Explore: Boomtown Build season, this camp is all about designing and building better places for people to live, work, and play. Through hands-on LEGO building, teamwork, and creative thinking, campers will reimagine how communities of the future can be safe, fun, and accessible for everyone.

What Campers Will Do:

At Camp Boomtown Build, kids will explore how buildings and communities are designed while learning STEM and teamwork skills. During this exciting week of discovery, campers will:

1. Explore How Communities Work
   • Learn about buildings, roads, and public spaces and how they help people live and work together.
   • Discover challenges that towns and cities face, such as overcrowding, safety, and accessibility.
2. Brainstorm and Design Solutions
   • Think creatively about how to improve communities by designing a better, safer, and more welcoming town.
   • Imagine innovative ideas for buildings, parks, and shared spaces.
3. Build a LEGO Model
   • Use LEGO bricks and motors to build and program a working model that represents their ideal community.
   • Create moving features like elevators, bridges, or other interactive elements to bring their Boomtown to life.
4. Create a Show Me Poster
   • Document their research, ideas, and LEGO model on a colorful poster.
   • Share their poster and model with peers, family, and camp leaders during a fun showcase event.
